S&S UP or DOWN

S&S my hypothesis is that since lockdowm (March 2020) both online and high street shops have massively upped their take. Resulting in big losses for anyone who plays

1)  So what is you take on this ?

2) Is there a future in online slots and videos based on reply to question 1)

Maybe it’s my imagination but I think the FOBTs have become more volatile. I’ve had some great results since lockdown eased, £477 on Genie Jackpot Megaways, £250 on Crown Of Midas and £125 on Super Star Turns all on 20p/25p stake. However I’ve been twice in the last week and lost £60 with no features on a variety of games, just small wins. I think I’ll give them a wide berth for a while, it seems like an all or nothing scenario at the moment and nothing is really dull. And I look back and think to myself ‘that £60 could’ve paid for the vinyl I wanted from HMV’....

I've got to say that fobts appear much more volatile. Ive had a few decent wins on them (including a £240 2nd press base game on Napoleon)! However I've put hundreds and hundreds through community black Knight/action bank/7s to burn in the bookies/book of dead, all for no bonus.

Hi, number 1: As you can probably tell from the bookie videos, I have done really bad on them since the lockdown. I won on the first visit back, but all of the follow-up visits were losses. The new slots do have a lower RTP, so they have increased their take there. The older ones probably play the same, although some have lowered the RTP, but this was happening before the lockdown and was a result of the stake cut.
I'm faring a lot better in arcades, with generally a better game for my money.

Online I have been on a losing run, with Thursday's video being the fastest loss in some time (the first £500 went in around 3 minutes).

As for question number 2, is there a future in online slots videos? The Gambling Commission are being pretty strict with things lately, and online casino's have the constant threat of huge fines. Plus there is the looming stake cut, which, if dropped to £5 maximum will signal the end of online roulette, which in turn will force casinos to lower the RTP on slots to make up for lost revenue, in the same way as bookies have as a result of their stake cut from £100 down to £2. So in short, there's life in online videos for the foreseeable future.

Online slots are up by 33%

Is that profit, or the amount of play they are getting?

Likewise I have mostly done bad on bookies slot since lockdown especially the newly introduced ones with lower RTP. I have fallen back to a few old fav's for example Black Knight which has saved me a number of times.

Diamond Mine, Heidi, Sun Kissed and that one with the giant question marks for the bonus, all horrible. Take forever to bonus and then pay fa.

Incidentally it amazes me streamers still bother with Eyes of Horus, Fishin Frenzy, Ted, Centurion & Goonies, lucky to pay a decent bonus 1 in 20 I reckon.

OMG What has happen to Darren? - IT CAN'T BE THE REAL DARREN - AS HE'S WINNING!  Must have been replaced by an alien doppelganger, I can see through their thin disguise.

I think the days of the bookies FOBTS are almost over

Let's face it if you don't go into bookies to place a bet what's the appeal of playing FOBTS, in booked you have lots of shouting speakers full blast even with only a few people in the shop and horrible coffee

This along with lowest RPG in years

I would say give it 2 years max and FOBTS in bookies will be over

Not sure I agree, still plenty folk piling money into them.
While folk on a site like this might be aware of RTP etc. The majority don’t in my opinion and would play fruit machines with RTP of 75% blindly because once in a blue moon you still get a hit. The addictive nature of FOBT should not be underestimated
