not suprizings rtps are being lowed costs will be higher then ever tax etc all the 50% extras costs has to be covered somewhere

 

even arcades feeling pinch as i talk to a few arcades they dont really like doing cash matchs as there losing money as 10 free spins 3 times a week for everybody isnt cheap when you get 50 people through door

It's worse than he says 

Assuming 96% RTP [House 4% edge]

Then drops to 92% RTP [House 8% edge]

The first number included house running costs and profit. So say 2% Costs and 2% profit. Then by going to 92% and 8% house edge it breaks don as 2% costs and 6% profit so they have actually trebled their profit from 2% to 6%.

A very basic example but a lot of greed and avarice on show here.

Interesting read. I just used the average number of spins calculator and even reducing the RTP to 95% makes a massive difference. Really puts it into perspective.

There’s still some good games out there, Mystery Reels Megaways is over 98% (although boring after a while) and some of the Jackpot King games such as Genie Jackpots Wishmaker are over 96%. 

I like to check out the new games when PP release them. Some pay quite well but some are as low as 92%. Quite shocking really. And I can never understand why someone would play an online scratch card at 80%.... 🤔

In my experience, the vast majority of people pay no attention to the RTP's. I've been pointing them out for years, and I regularly get comments saying it makes no difference.

I quite liked the way it was explained. Rather than thinking how much play you would get for your money...

i.e. you might for instance expect to win a £500 jackpot every 20,000 spins and reducing RTP from 96% to 92% means each £100 at £1 per spin would give you 1270 spins instead of 2600. Therefore roughly loss of £1600 at 92% to win one jackpot vs loss of £800 at 94%. (figures made up just to get the gist of it).

Relax Gaming's Book of 99 has a massive 99% RTP! I believe that is the highest I've ever seen for an online slot.

FWIW I'm convinced it is possible to flip the house edge on online Live Blackjack. You can literally count every card. Not a count like card counting crews do but every single one to the point of knowong every possible percentage.
