Casimba shock

Having a nice little punt on Casimba when suddenly all action stops and I get a mesage telling me that my monthly loss limit had been reached. Well I was a bit miffed as I have never set a loss limit and I can now no longer play a slot until I send them my last 3 wage slips, bank statements, employer details, P60 and inside leg size. They claim they have to ask these questions  to comply with UK government guidelines...  Anyone else come across this?

It’s nice to hear from you seaton slots

In all the years I did gamble online I never had that problem you had

It’s been 3 months since I joined GAMSTOP I miss it occasionally but you’ve highlighted why I’m glad I finished playing

Will you close your account down ?

I have noticed recently that casinos have been a lot stricter due to the 2nd lock down, some won’t even let me open an account with them, it’s all due to safer gambling, maybe this is why ?

Hi Steppy... Ive never left, just been a bit quiet and away from the office for the last 9 months.

Great to hear you are still well on track with your resolve with Gamstop as I can imagine at times it will be hard so congratulations on riding it out, although I thought it was more than 3 months since you took the pledge ... Yes I am moving on... I am not joining any other casino (on-line) because I think they will all be the same and want proof of my means and am not prepared to show them.

Only the wife and taxman know how much I have and I am going to keep it that way.

Anyway on a brighter note the arcades will be open again next Thursday so Skegness here I come lol

Becoming increasing problem. Lvbet really bad. I would advise sport nation as a no go also. I have found a lot of un licensed creeping on Google searches too

Hi Pete

Thanks for the input it is greatly appreciated...

On your second post you have made the mistake that I always make.... mixing up Steppy with Stoppy

Steppy being Step & Stop and Stoppy being Stop & Step... we are not sure if one is the alter ego of the other  or they are two different people but they have never been seen in the same room at the same time... and dont get me started on Mentholdan and Templegate  lol

Boy Ive missed this forum

as i have highighted previously on here we had this issue for years with what i would call "big punters" when i worked in the bookies.

Asking for proof of income etc. Very few did and why would they in my opinion. I am amazed its now only happening online.

They claim its POCA and SOCA RELATED which is fine if its not affecting joe punter in my book.

Correct me if i am wrong and  am sure someone on here will but a loss limit is not the same as requests for further documentation.

I have a loss limit on two online accounts it just means a limit to your betting in the month.

Hi, great to have you back 🙂 These checks are due to UK gambling regulations, things are getting really strict in the UK. First with bonus buys removed, then the slow down of spins, next is max stake per spin which is looking like it might be £5, plus of course all of these source of wealth checks. Online slot streams also have to be age-gated, which basically means you can't view online slots from UK casinos on YouTube without signing in first. This slowed things down for a lot of channels, with many being forced to leave Twitch as it doesn't have any kind of age-gate system in place. The next move from YouTube is to actually verify the persons age with actual proof rather than clicking a form, although I'm not sure how they are going to do that.

Although much of this is a good move, the age-gating verification on YouTube has just resulted in YouTube listing foreign gambling channels instead of UK ones.

A loss limit will basically not be removed until further documentation is received. I'm not sure what the default loss-limit is, but there must be one. I guess if you (seaton slots) asked on their live chat they could tell you what your monthly loss-limit is. There's talk of a £100 loss limit per month online for everyone.

There is the tub Darren,

They claimed I had reached  I think it was called a "SPEND LIMIT" of £2,500 ish this month no mention of losses and my actual spend this month was only about £500 - £600 so I dont knowwhat they were looking at... Anyway I have politely declined there invitation and moved on and like I said the arcades are open again soon. I might even get a trip in to Paignton soon !

Anyway nice result on Sunday ... Keep it up

There's spend and there's wagering. You can deposit £500, get a big win say like Darren did of 2.5k and then gamble all that away. Initial deposit of £500 becomes a 3k wager. Total loss = 3k but actual money from initial deposit lost is the £500.

Once again Mentholdan sums the situation up with wisdom and clarity... Thanks mate
