I’m a moderator for chipmonkz slots and this afternoon chip did a live stream on YouTube 

never in 2 years of watching chip have I seen so many people slagging him off mainly over affiliation links 

chips the only live streamer I watch and I feel his pain he shouldn’t have to put up with this

Yeah I see this point, I'm sure Stopandstep makes money through affliation, but it is less pushed and especially with the bookies/arcades session it's not really in your face.

 

When I spoke to a streamer and realised just how much people make from affliation, it just put me off them. Its bliming crazy

I've commented on Chips streams here recently, I enjoy watching them and they are a giggle. Personally I don't think he's done a good job pr wise lately, I find the mixed messages he's sending out very confusing. I have no problem discussing what I like and dislike about his streams on a forum such as this but I wouldn't post a comment in his chat whilst he is streaming live. For every message saying what a great job he's doing there will be another to the contrary. Running a live chat alongside the stream is inviting trouble. 

How naive can someone be to only invite positive comments? Criticism can be just as useful a tool to improve the broadcasting. 

In short, a lot of streamers have turned their hobby into a business and the good ones will still be streaming when the others have turned it in. They should learn from their critics and treat it like water off a ducks back. 

I hope he keeps going as I find him hilarious and entertaining.

Can I ask what a "moderator" does please? Cheers.

I just watched the stream from today. I don't know how you can defend him. Basically he made a deposit of £500 and couldn't get a bonus. He then made a second deposit of £500 and got one bonus that paid under £50. He was visibly pissed off by it. During the stream he was having his buttons pushed and that with the combination of losing the two deposits he then went on to lose the plot. He then went on tilt playing blackjack and roulette and even managed to claw half the dough back by playing of all games, Monopoly.

Some people have such a charisma that when they just walk into a room it's as though someone has sprinkled a little Stardust in the air, unfortunately he's not one of them. 

I still like watching him though.

Promote your own channel by making it enjoyable rather than the shit you put out

Sorry mate but people have every right to criticise streamers who don’t ‘fess up and admit they are playing with what is basically other people’s money.

They are promoting high volume, high risk gambling without clarity as to how they can do it. 

Ive said it before, most are celeb wannabes and leeching off of other people’s misery.

If someone wants to do that then that’s fine but they have to be prepared to accept the hard times some will give them (a lot of whom may have lost a lot of money (their own fault of course)).

Sorry to disappoint you fatcabs I’m not part of chipmonkz slots I’ve never ever tried to promote his channel

now I’ve been watching live streams and Darren for years and to be honest I’ve joined about 10 casinos and hand on my heart I’ve NEVER signed up to any casino with there links 

I will be happy when the day comes when all affiliation is scrapped I hate it and all the problems it causes 

the problem is the streamers themselves I’m not going to mention his name there’s one streamer who has won 2 lots of 20k on stream and the ordinary person will sign up via his link thinking they can will those amounts too but the reality is they won’t then the person who lost will then have ago at the streamer blaming him

Chipmonks doesn’t pay me to be a mod and if he unmodded me tomorrow that’s fine I would still watch 

SO PLEASE LOOK THROUGH MY NEARLY 100 POSTS ON THIS FORUM AND COUNT HOW MANY TIMES IVE MENTIONED ANY LIVE STREAMER 

moral of the long moan I’m having is don’t sign up to ANYBODYS link unless you want too and don’t blame someone else when you lose 😢

every streamer has the right to plce thier links or whatever it is completely at thier discression.

and if any viewer has a problem wit the content then they just need to leave the stream or (in my case i would) be blocking them lol

The above is in essence the nub of the problem. Streamers don’t mention they’re getting weighed in by online casinos to the viewers and unless you’re aware they do you’re none the wiser and see guys like the bandit doubling down on Reel King until they hit the huge top.

Problem is the average Joe isn’t getting weighed in by the casino and end up spunking cash they can not afford chasing the big bandit style win.

If they’ve signed up thru an affiliate link then it’s happy days for the streamer as he gets a nice wee cut of their deposits....

If the streamers were honest and explained how they get money from you losing how many folk do you think would deposit thru their links?

Ive said it before and I’ll say it again they are parasites feeding off of the poor, addicted and plain stupid... Above all else rather than being the “punters pal” they gain from you losing, therefore they WANT you to lose!

I don’t mind Darren as much as he still plays mainly Real machines and I doubt he gets much affiliate cash from that 🤣.

Sire he’ll be getting some from Dream Vegas (maybe 🤷‍♂️) but he’s not rinsing through ££££ or gambling for ridiculous sums either, more realistic.

I, like you think affiliation should be banned as it’s far more insidious than actual proper advertising.

People can't have their cake and eat it. If they want to watch other people gambling big money it is unreasonable to expect the streamer to stump all that money through savings or wages.

 

No issues with affiliate links, just bothered by bullshitters like Rhostein. The whole community surely knows he's fake which is why he hardly ever appears in big win compilation videos

I’m curious and maybe missing something as I don’t play online very much anymore (did far too much of the aforementioned cash spunking) but how do you tell they’re faking it from their vids?
