It's a rip off

Had a lucky 15 on my PP online account, only 1 winner at 35-1 here's a screenshot of whaScreenshot_20201110_160526_com.android.chrome.thumb.jpg.325052ee3e832671fa4549d9afaf4f8a.jpgt they paid into my account. If this is a lucky 15 I'd like to know what's so lucky about it?? The betting slip is found under the Lucky 15 banner on the app. but it should just be called a Yankee Plus. BTW there is no longer a contact number for PP to call about bet queries, only via email???

None taken, I prefer to bet with "what they used to call" the big 4. Also, as far as I know there are no slots on betfair and I want to keepy horse bets and slot play on the one account. I will give it a look though. I don't understand it but I'll try and get my head round it, I'm one of those guys that needs things explained to him, "only once" 😎

You need to look at the EXCHANGE prices on BEFTAIR. You will be shocked. I did post a list of the benefits of BETFAIR (or other exchanges) v big 4 and you simply have to be mad not to be using BEFTAIN IMO.

Betfair recently stopped the exchange multiples, so for your lucky 15 you need to go to SPORTSBOOK and you will have similar low prices, but as for early / overnight prices you will often be getting 50% more than in the highstreet.

GOOD LUCK

High Street Shop  (inc online)

For

  • BOG - this is a good benefit especially if you like Irish racing! Best odds even if your donkey drifts out before the off.
  • Do they still pay first past the post?
  • Some bonuses on Lucky 15 etc?
  • Social, can pop in whilst the Mrs is shopping.
  • Can take a piss, at your own risk?
  • They take some strange bets
  • E/W bets are actually in your favour at 1/4 and 1/5 the odds.
  • Will take tiny bets for pennies

Against

  • The overnight prices from the bookies are scandalous, just scandalous
  • The man book prices are scandalous.
  • Once I wanted to bet 10 min before the off once and they said sorry the book is not ready, you can only bet SP. So they only produce the actual prices 5 min before the off. Why? I want more time.
  • The cash out (some may call this a benefit) are again well well below the market price (you could get far more on exchanges)
  • Can't bet in running
  • If there is ever a mistake they will refuse to pay (so for example 50:1 popped up on the screens for a football game draw, obviously wrong but I stuck £2 on and it, accepted ticket and went through the till. Draw was the result .....and they refused to pay more than £6). Guy at till makes a mistake = refuse to pay. 99% of the time their mistake = your problem.
  • Betting late - Putting you bet on with 10 seconds before the off.......

Exchanges (online only)

For

  • You can see every bet placed on the market how much and when. So you can see a ton of money flooding onto a horse just before the off.
  • The odds are generally about 10% - 30% higher than at the high street. Outsiders in the shops are 66:1 but 100+ on the exchanges
  • You can bet horses to loose
  • Bet in running, until horse crosses the line
  • Max odds are 1000:1 (win) and 0.01 (lay)
  • You can leave cash out trades at any price, as you can lay your own bets in running
  • There are plenty of app extensions that let you set up trades both before and after off. Some people trade and make a profit buy/sell before the race even starts.
  • The odds are available the evening before the race and don't go away

Against

  • Some bets they will not take online, strange ones and some multiples in different sports etc. Strange forecasts.
  • Typically minimum trade is £2

I just don't get why PP offer 3x one winner on a lucky 15 in the shops but only 1x for one winner on line? Those who know their bets will understand that this bet is called a Yankee Plus, Lucky 15 the clue is in the title. The virtual betting slip you click on to place your bet actually says Lucky 15 and not Yankee Plus.

You would have thought you would get better offers from betti g on line? A lucky 63 in Betfred shops pays 5x for 1 winner, I hate to think what PP would pay on line.?

Anyway they're the losers, my account is closed now, NEVER AGAIN.

Mentholdan, I haven't checked the PP t&c's but quite a lot of online bookies exclude all bonuses if you include a footie selection. Effectively this turns a L15 into a yankee + four singles. IMHO the best two online bookies are Betfair (Exchange & Sportsbook) and Bet365. Bet365 offer 2x single + 15% bonus on L15 AND BOG. The BOG is unusual and worth having.

I posted a winning L15 on here a few weeks ago and BOG increased it by over £250! I have a Betfred account and they do offer 3x single on L15 but nearly always the prices are worse than Bet365 and no BOG.

Cheers stormy, my lucky 15 was just nags. Ironically the 35/1 winner was my own selection, the other 3 were tipsters picks, 2 seconds and a fourth. I never normally follow any tipsters but I didn't really fancy anything else so quickly shoved the other 3 with it. To me, an online account shows loyalty which SHOULD BE Rewarded.

me and my hubby put lucky 15s online with Hills they only pay double for one winner.

i think its because they offer BOG. i totally agree though it should be same as in shops .

3x lucky 15, 4 x lucky 31 and 5 x lucky 63 for one winner should be online as it is in shops

I would have been happy with double the odds. My biggest gripe is that it's Not a lucky 15, its a Yankee Plus, but the slip I filled out was a lucky 15 virtual slip. 😂

But you highlighted this with PP months ago on here. You had a 12/1 winner and they paid you £13.

Not having a go but you are aware of them only paying single odds for one winner on a lucky 15. I'm just saying its not a criticism.

Yeah I'm glad you mentioned that because I'd forgotten all about it. I was on the phone today to my mate in Brighton, he likes a punt every day like myself. Anyway I mentioned it to him and he said the same as you about it happening before. I'd forgotten about that, I'm in my early 60s and tend to forget a lot things these days. 😩 I have on line accounts with PP, Coral, Bet 365, Sky Vegas, Video Slots Ladbrokes and Betfred. Ghost suggested I try Betfair so I went and signed up with them, only to realise I have an account with them too which I'd forgotten about 🤔 I've also discovered that I have an account with All British Casino. I can only assume I've been sent invitations for no deposit bonuses, signed up, used the bonus and never been back after. If I play slots on line three days in one week I make sure I use a different casino for each one for a bit of variety and a bit of superstition as well. I can't remember which one "no surprise there" but one no deposit bonus ended up with me cashing out 1k after completing the wagering. So it's not all doom and gloom I suppose. 😁 Don't worry about criticism, I'm grateful, if you or my mate hadn't pointed it out to me I would have forgot, well I had hadn't I.
