Buyin Bonuses?????

I’ve seen Mr Step doing this recently and just don’t get it.

part of the excitement is hitting a bonus and hoping for a big score for your stake.

Buying the things just seems weird, you’re gambling maybe 100x your stake to guarantee it with no guarantee of making a decent win.

For me it’s one of those things that seems “to good to be true” and it most likely is and I reckon is a pretty quick toad to the poor house as offering bonuses for sale will only benefit the site in the long run as they hoover up this cash. It’s a bit like cash out for me, in reality it looks a good deal but only benefits one side of the equation. Sure you might get a decent win now and again but you’d get that anyway playing normal stakes and getting the bonus the normal way.

Not for me I’m afraid, what do others think?

The bonus hunt idea that Darren has done I like though, play till you hit on each game and terminate the game and then play them one after the other is good fun.

It's all about good TV. Yer man cant waste 30 mins of you tube time trying to get a bonus, a bit boring for the viewer. Yes you can edit but it involves time getting bonuses and more time editing. 

Also, as I keep saying, treat these videos as learning about the game, after all you have no cash interest in it.

My take on this is buying the bonus is a short cut to the most exciting part of the game... will it play well or have you over!

Like you I really enjoy the bonus hunts but even then he edits most of the dead spins out to show the bonus being won and then the accumulative back to back bonuses at the end... makes for exciting watching and keep the audience engaged. If he didn't edit out the dead spins it would go on for hours and not quite have the same entertainment quality.

Obviously you’re going to have to edit out or speed up the dead spins and to be fair to S&S there’s a level of trust that what’s being shown is pretty genuine. There are other youtubers who only show them hitting decent wins or hitting bonuses who are evidently just showing that without the reality that they are doing their brains in between and I hate those guys.

having lost real sums of money in the past those who try to pass themselves off as “professional slot jockeys” really annoy me as it could lead other poor souls to very bad places!

make no mistake playing them alone you WILL lose over time as it’s impossible to beat something where the odds are constantly against you such as 35/1 on roulette where the true odds are 36/1 or a slot where the RTP is say 96%, you simply cannot win long term but there are those out there who would have you believe otherwise.

I get that guys like S&S get money from ads on YouTube and from being an affiliate with the casinos and this will at least partially offset their losses but again I think streamers should be more up front about that. The games aren’t “rigged” in their favour but the do get “paid to play”. There’s a danger for those who don’t grasp this concept that these guys are “winners” and they could do the same when the truth is you can’t. Trust me, I learnt the hard way!

Tbf he paid for a bonus the other day and won £2'500. I agree thats its the excitement of catching a bonus though. Think its was high voltage he won on

Yeah saw that and a cracking win but you are just as likely to win that playing the game normally.

if memory serves apart from that didn’t he take a doing on the other ones relative to what they cost?

I agree for watching the buying the bonus is the most exciting to watch

I’m a low roller and won £165 playing extra chilli 20p stake and collected 8 spins

its all about luck no skill involved

I won a bonus on eye of horus on a £20 spin. Got the win for the three golden portals and then sweet FA, not a sausage in 12 spins.

Since he stopped buying the bonus he has not done so well overall 

look how much he spent on primeval without a bonus

i am sure if he had paid £400 to buy a bonus or two his return would be higher

maybe time to re visit the buying bonus!
