Whats your acceptable loss level

Just thinking my main problem with fobts is I don’t leave until I’m at least  evenor up. If I accepted being 10/20 quid down on a big session it would stand me in good stead but struggle. Anyone else got this issue or do you leave at an acceptable loss point ie not when the wallet is empty!

I've always been very disciplined to give myself some winning sessions.

So I stick tot his basic principle

£20 in profit of >£50 stop (£1 stake)

£40 in profit of >£80 stop (£1 stake)

£60 in profit of >£100 stop (£2 stake)

£100 in profit >£200 stop (£12stake)

Playing my preferred slots, this results in me having quite a few profitable days and the occasional big loss day. I estimate I probably get the chance to walk away with a profit four out of five times. Unfortunately the loss day typically wipes out any profit days.

Whenever I lose it and keep going it ends in tears. The biggest losses I have had are circa £500; nearly always when I end up playing premium play. So I don't do it. My play over 15 years indicates that a no-pay-today session on an fobt is much more likely to turn a loss into a bigger loss than turn things around. It's just not the same "randomness" as a bricks and motor casino.

I really lack discipline….

I usually play until I’ve had a few features on 20p play. I’ve given up chasing a feature on one game - I used to say to myself ‘one was due soon’, although that’s more from my throwback days of compensated machines rather than thinking logically.

20p tends to have a lower percentage and is more volatile as you can win more than the 250x you would on £2 play, so sometimes I had some really bad days with 3 figure losses and no realistic chance of clawing it back.

Thanks for your thoughts unfortunately had a similar scenario today dropped £120 although I left with £60 in pocket. V depressing though

When I hit the coast (never play in bookies) I will take £300-£500 with me to spend... As soon as I take the cash from the bank it is written off and I have no expectations of bringing any home. When I play the slots it is purely for entertainment and relaxation and if I can get a good play from my stash im happy.

If I start to get some good wins it just extends the playtime which is generally driven by how long I paid for car parking, if i am in in profit as the parking runs out great... un-ususal... but great.

If I have any money left in my pocket then thats a bonus... If they are empty thats the norm and what I budgeted for.

What I wont do is extend my stay win or lose... when the parking runs out I run.

I think that all equates to my loss point is driven by a financial cap and a parking ticket
