A few years back I had a bet on Ruler of the World the night before the Chester Vase. I also dumped £5 on him at 100/1 for the Derby. He won the Vase and his odds dropped to something like 15:1 overnight for the Derby. He went off at about 7:1. A friend said that some had so much on him that they could not watch the race .....

Watch him come up on the outside and imagine you've lumped on in the below video.

 

Paid for a trip to Paris / Longchamp in the October sunshine for the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe to watch him run there (poorly)

I'm on Sandhurst tomorrow out of homage for the colours...   you never know.....

2nd - ran well but did not look like a derby winner

I won't be having another bet at the meeting, a glorified dog track. If you miss the break tear up your ticket.

Quite right a dreadful track to rely on any form unless it is course form with a favourable draw.
