So the government lowered the stakes on fobts to £2 on slots because of problem gambling which I totally agree with

now in one of the tabloid newspapers this week sources in the government are thinking of raising the age of playing the lottery to 18 to combat teenage gambling

apparently the Church of England are in favour of this but I didn’t think playing the national lottery was so addictive 

SHOULD IT BE RAISED TO 18 ?

I guess it's more the scratch card market as opposed to the lottery, as some of those are just like fortune spins on the fobts

If I had my way I'd raise it to 21 across the board. Drinking, smoking, gambling, driving, getting married, join the military, the whole lot. I remember when I was 18, I was still a silly little prick, as were most of my friends. Also, the law is mental, you can be legally married at 16, have 2 legitimate kids in the space of say 20 months and be charged with underage drinking and smoking and gambling. So your adult enough to Wed and have a family but not old enough to do the others. Totally bonkers. Raise it I say RAISE It!!!!

Marriage should definitely be raised to 18. Imagine being jailed for possession of child porn. Of your wife. Where the picture was taken AFTER your marriage.
