It used to be Nevada and Indian casinos on reservation land, but now it's been relaxed so I guess more will be springing up. The government in Boston were very clever with the deal, they get 25% of all gambling revenue which will then be re-invested in the local area. 
On a side note, Boston was one of the most beautiful cities I have seen, it's a really nice place.
