Casino slots are so boring compared to fobts

Recommended Posts

Was recently in Genting casino playing slots.  Was hoping for one of the progressives to "fall".  Wasn't wanting to lose too much so played on low stake.  My god they are so boring, compared to inspired gaming, blue print and light and wonder.  And managed to get my first £5 slot zero bonus, what were they thinking 😔.  Also, didn't manage the progressives but did get fort Knox, got the gold for just over £500 (mind you I was losing just over £500 on the game).  Spent over 6 hours and lost just over £60, I thought it was good entertainment, i spent just over £10-30 over each game on the cabinet, overall not a patch to arcades or bookies fobts.

I’ve not played slots in a casino for years, maybe because as you say they’re generally  pretty dull. The problem is that the higher the jackpot, the more volatile, and the more dead spins/naff bonuses.

Some people bemoan the jackpot ‘only’ being £500 on FOBTs and arcade slots, but it does mean there’s generally more action and entertainment for your money. That’s not to say I haven’t had plenty of dead sessions on those too though…!

Casino slots ARE really bad compared to the bookies and arcade stuff.

Barcrest / SG Gaming / Light and Wonder (wtf lol!) pulled out of the £10,000 casino market - they had some great games, essentially the same as the bookies and arcades but at £10,000 jackpot. I don't know why they pulled out of it though. They had by far the best games. The remaining stuff is just dreadful.

I hate online casino slots because every now and again

it bloody freezes on a bonus & l lose it. Happens far to often now

You would NEVER lose a bonus if it froze. The bonus would restart when you reconnect to the game. If you don't reconnect to the game, it will generally auto-add whatever you would have won to your account within 72 hours.

I’m talking about bookies casino slots, l don’t play other online casino’s, twice on sky vegas the bonus has frozen, l reset my laptop even, logged back  in no bonus,

complained to customer service told in reply a week later

they don’t pay for malfunctions on any non payouts on machines as it’s a software error, the bonus stopped after a few spins, don’t know what l would have got. Betfred has done it to me too, suppose l could complain to gaming commission regulator but what’s the point, it’s happened a few times lately to me annoying. I know people say you can take them to court , but really, on 50p play bonus, when l don’t even know what l would have won . I know online casinos like you say normally reset or just add bonus win amount, bookies casino don’t

If you read their terms & conditions it does state that, they will Not pay out for any errors relating to malfunctions on any of their games, as the cheeky sods at sky vegas send me it underlined, in a reply email

after l wrote a shitty email that said it was the second time it has happened to me in last 6 months, l have had some mega bonuses on that site though

£470 on £1 stake Christmas Santa just before Christmas

and it does normally pay good bonuses on 50p stakes between £40-£200 quite frequently which is good better than bookie FOBT.

I just find bookies arcades machines etc more interactive like part bank and gambling for free spins or more cash. Will hill online doesnt do this for some reason prbably because you could win alot more.

I think there’s a disclaimer that say ‘malfunction  voids all pays and pays’ or something like that. Thankfully, I’ve never had it on FOBTs, although it was quite a frequent occurrence on the older style 3 reel fruities about 20 years ago. More an irritation than anything as they’re compensated rather than random, so if you’re on for the long haul it made pretty much no difference.

Yeah online bookies casinos won’t even engage properly when customers complain about their games crashing etc,

l do like betting shops , but they mainly empty most of time now

& the payouts really low compared to online, especially on low stakes. 20p bonuses of £3 or £4 , lot of the time , shocking.
maybe it’s cost of running shops, or that more people play online now, l do find online bonuses pay much higher especially for low stakes
