does this mean that the game is played automatically, if l don't play the bonus game, seems a bit rigged??? thank you

I think it means everything is random. Hitting the bonus is random, what you win is random - but there has to be a point when it knows what it’s going to pay. Each spin isn’t a surprise to the game, as soon as you press the spin button, it takes 2.5 seconds for the reels to do their thing, but it already knows what the outcome is.
