Light and wonder machines - Bookies Slots and Roulette - Stop and Step

Light and wonder machines

Recommended Posts

My corals got new machines this morning. I strolled in at about 10AM while they just installed them. Shop was empty but 2 of staff cheered and said yay your guineapig your first one on them. hehe. They are the light and wonder machines the others they had was equinox machines.

These are massive machines but clear. They do hurt your head to look up all time though like on coin flip or 777 mighty ways.  Fans are well loud on them too glad i dont work in shop.  I did go on golden dragon on 20p and bonused and got £32 so i played quite a few games after that with no look. At least they lowered volume on ready to blow as on other machines that was well loud even on low.

I think the start button on these and the squareness will get some getting use to and quite a few wheel chair people go in which i think will be too tall for them to use. But i do like them. They a lot faster no glitches and dont have to ask staf to re set it like the old ones when screen went funny.

Having played them for a while i like the smaller equinox better. These are too big for games like 777, coin flip where you have to look at top screen to see whats there. The fans are noisy on them like your sat in a seat of an aeroplane. The slot where you put the money is abit low and have to fiddle about abit. The only thing is its much clearer. So yeah i like the old equinox machines better. The gamble seems to have change too on quite a few.

In my local Coral, they had to remove the coffee ledges off the wall to fit them in. Currently I am putting my coffee on the flat bit of glass and hoping the bookie don't ask me to stop. They are very high considering how close one stands to them and agree the fans are noisy. I guessing the height helps attract punters in as the top screen I would never look up at unless forced to.

yeah im staying away from them very tight machines. Gambles are rigged even more then others. There just something about them whats total different. Not had a win for ages on them in 12 days they been installed. At least before i had some play time even with £10 a day but now yikes they are awful.

Take gambles like ready to blow they seem tight on that now. I use to be able to get 6 spins in often gambling 80p etc. Ive had it twice and only winning over £1 not upgrading. Seems total off.

Corals have bought these machines them selves and i bet they cost at least 15K each so yeah they got to get money back pretty soon.

I think they're basically just the same terminals they manufacture for the big Las Vegas casinos just with a few tweaks for the UK market which is probably why the screens are so tall, the fans are probably required these days considering the machines are expected to run reliably 24/7 almost year round! (perhaps not so much in bookies but more than enough 24 hour arcades around these days)

Not been into the bookies for a long time now but presume they just run the same Videobet software as the Equinox so there wouldn't really be any difference in games but I have seen bookies run at lower RTP than arcades

I wonder if William Hill have upgraded to the new Inspired terminals yet or if they're still somehow managing to run the 15-20 year old Storm cabinets!

Still same machines in my local willhill which are dying very slowly. Cant go on them as it takes ages to load and stutters on all machines especially new games.
