Jackpots are rare if you don't spend much or you don't take big gamble risks.

If you play 50p stake then yeah they will be rare. Likewise on £2 a go if you collect £50 wins they will be rare.

The reason it seems like Darren and others get jackpots more often is because they pump hundreds in on max stake and they take more risks than the average player.

Good points. Also worth remembering that on £2 stake the jackpot is 250x - I usually play 20p so it can be 2500x. If you factor in the lower RTP too, the chances of a max win are slim at best.

Closest I got was £480 odd when the genie came out on Genie Jackpot Megaways on 25p. That was in BetFred about 4 years ago or so. Never come anywhere close since.
