I would imagine that every other machine would be turned off to maintain 2m distance and that there will generally be a bunfight to get to any empty seat in desperation.

Any news on casinos reopening, I've checked Rainbow, Grosvenor and Les Croupiers websites but nothing.  Last to open along with pubs and cinemas I expect, mid-July?

I think I’ll be giving them a wide berth for a while, I guess they’ll be busy and it seems a lot of hassle just to get in and lose money. Maybe I’ll go back when all of this calms downs.

On a similar note, our local Drive Thru McDonalds reopened recently, 1.5 hour queues just to get in. The local council (in their wisdom) banned all cars from parking in the residential streets nearby, so people had to move their cars from outside their houses.... traffic was held up everywhere....

I've got a buddy that works in a seaside arcade and i asked him if they are open on the 15th,  here's what he said..

Right there's been a debate about this. It is and it's isn't. On the 15th of June. All bookies can open with arcades. These "arcades" are AGC'S witch mean adult gaming centres. So the arcades what are opening are the 18+ casino areas what are normally In town centres etc. They can only open with the correct safety guidance. Seaside arcades and pier arcades are classed as FEC'S what stand for family entertainment centres. And they are unable to open until AT LEAST 4th of July. Only if covid levels continue to drop like they have these past 2 weeks. Family arcades will not look the same and their will many safety measures introduced.

Admiral will not open on 15th just got this

Despite our earlier messages, due to new Government advice, we are now unable to open on Monday 15th June.
We are ready to welcome you back – to keep you safe and ensure social distancing in all our venues – however until the advice changes we can’t open yet.
We’re sorry to disappoint you and we’ll confirm our new opening date as soon as possible.

I think it’s because they came under ‘non essential retail outlets’ or something similar which included clothes shops but also bookies and arcades. I’ll try to find the link....

I found my original post - I may agree with you that they should be the last to open as they’re hardly essential, but this is the government’s classification.
