My local team is Sutton United, there was a high profile televised F A cup game and the bookies gave odds on the big assistqnt manager eating a pie on TV during the game. He duly obliged, bookies got the hump and he got fired. 

I blame the bookies, they instigated it all by offering odds, the newspapers were all over it, he obviously told his mates to "lump on because I'm going to eat the pie."  Go figure, the guy lost his job for God's sake. We're talking Sutton United, semi pro, not Chelsea or Man U where wages are telephone numbers.
