Now compensated?

So I was in Betfred yesterday, and one of the slots I played there said it's compensated. Is this a new thing since the new rules came in? Because I'm now getting jackpots on slots that never did before. So far jackpot on fishing frenzy twice in two weeks albeit two different bookies. And yesterday on leaders of the free spins? Don't know if I've named that one right. But I was down a lot and thought I'd end with something fun and it paid the jackpot on the third spin of the one with the lingering and expanding wilds.

Yes I have noticed that in both betfred and William hill while you was very lucky that means the machine has to take equal to what it paid you in jackpots and more before the next punter gets any good win

so while you was very lucky overall the Compensaited (Fixed) machines are bad in the long term

This is why I am avoiding both Bet Fred and William Hill now

Centurion on fortune spins in compensated, but the gamble is (apparently) random!

That was still showing as random when I had a look, so I'm guessing you were just lucky?

Played luck o the Irish fortune spins and was robbed blind.

guess some punter who walked up later and put £30 in probably got the jackpot 🤣.

sadly the compensated games will give rise to the vultures hanging around betting shops hovering over players shoulders and then “swooping” in when they see someone do their bolx on a compensated game.

hate these type of players, hover around hoping for another player to do their brains so they can profit. The gambling scum of the earth.

I'm not one of those. I'm a more do your bollox in kinda guy. With better thing to do that hover to pick up a few quid. I play for fun and profit if I'm lucky.

  • 2 weeks later...

I have also noticed that the new machines In Bet Fred and WIllian Hill have lowed the RTP to 89% for £1 and 90% for £2

They've made no effort to compete with local business. Arcades generally have higher percentages, friendlier staff and better coffee. It looks like the bookies thought that by lowering the percentages they'll make more money, but in reality they are just driving people away.

And they have better looking staff in my opinion.

Compensated, if I'm right, means it kinda works like a fruit machine.. so it means that specific machine has it's own cash pot as such which obviously needs to hit certain goals before paying out.

Random will mean it works over the whole network.. meaning if you do your bollocks, go cash point, come back then your game will probably be a different one than you were on before.

Think that's right but could be wrong!

The coffee is definitely better, I've only been in 1 bookies with decent coffee which was a Fred's, most bookies I go in dont even offer a drink which is poor when you're wagering a good few quid. Step into an arcade, it's all like would you like a drink, join our special promotion, free spins etc etc... much better experience.
